At DABB, our core mission is to empower and champion Global Majority talent in the performing arts industry. Over the years, through our DABB Generals Day and wider outreach, we’ve connected with an extraordinary range of underrepresented actors, building deep roots across communities nationwide. Many of these artists are actively seeking opportunities to grow and be seen, not just as performers, but as valuable voices in storytelling.

Recognising the need for more inclusive and representative casting in the industry, we launched DABB | The Casting Department to help bridge that gap. While our primary focus is on elevating Global Majority actors, we cast talent from all backgrounds - because we believe meaningful change comes from collective success and representation.

We support productions in three key ways:

• Assisting with specific roles or areas where greater reach and authentic representation is needed

• Leading full casting for entire projects with a community-driven, inclusive approach

• Consulting with in-house teams to help ensure casting processes are equitable, accessible, and welcoming for all performers
