The DABB Opportunity Pathway
Creating opportunities. Improving access. Building connections.
DABB Official has been awarded funding from Arts Council England through the National Lottery Project Grants to deliver The DABB Opportunity Pathway.
Launching in December 2026, this seven-month programme will bring actors and industry professionals together through a series of FREE acting industry workshops, alongside lead-up support towards DABB Generals Day 2027.We are excited to take this next step in DABB's journey and continue creating spaces where talent can be seen, connections can be made and opportunities can grow
The workshops are open to actors from all backgrounds who are looking to engage with industry professionals, develop their industry understanding and build meaningful connections.

The programme places a particular focus on championing Global Majority actors and improving access to opportunities across the industry.

Whether you are at the beginning of your professional journey or looking to build on your existing experience, we encourage you to get involved.

Places at each workshop will be limited. Actors will be asked to complete a short application so we can understand their experience, skills and interest in the opportunity before allocating places.
The DABB Opportunity Pathway is a seven-month programme designed to create greater access to the performing arts and entertainment industries.
Through a series of FREE acting industry workshops, we will bring actors from all backgrounds together with professionals working across the industry.

Sessions will feature industry guests including:
-
Agents
-
Casting directors
-
Directors
-
Producers
-
Theatre makers and other creative professionals

Each workshop will offer an opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals, exchange experiences, ask questions and gain insight into different areas of the profession.
For the past eight years, DABB has been dedicated to creating opportunities, improving access and building meaningful connections for Global Majority actors.

Much of this journey has been built through voluntary work, passion, determination and a genuine belief that talent deserves to be seen, heard and given the opportunity to thrive.

We recognise that access to industry spaces, professional connections and opportunities can often come with financial barriers.
The Opportunity Pathway aims to help remove some of those barriers by creating accessible spaces for actors to meet, learn from and engage directly with industry professionals.

We believe that meaningful connections can open doors, and that access to opportunity should not be determined by financial circumstances.
Talent deserves to be seen. Opportunity shouldn't come at a cost.
The DABB Opportunity Pathway begins in December 2026 and will run for seven months alongside our usual voice over industry workshops.
Throughout the programme, we will be delivering a series of FREE acting industry workshops, creating opportunities for actors to engage with professionals from across the performing arts and entertainment industries.
The programme will also include lead-up support towards DABB Generals Day 2027, our flagship initiative celebrating and championing Global Majority actors. Further details about individual workshops, industry guests, dates and booking arrangements will be announced throughout the programme.
