Voice-Over Representation & Submission Terms
Dabb Official Limited
Voice-Over Representation & Submission Terms
Effective Date: Upon submission of any audition, self-tape, recording or related materials to any project circulated by Dabb Official Limited.
These Terms govern all voice-over submissions and engagements facilitated by Dabb Official Limited (“Dabb”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting to any project through Dabb, you (“Artist”, “you”, “your”) acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
This Agreement is permanently available via the published link at which it appears.
Nature of Representation
1.1 Dabb acts as a non-exclusive voice-over representative. We act as your representative only for projects booked through us or projects you specifically ask us to manage.
1.2 Dabb is not your employer. We act solely as an intermediary and representative in negotiating and administering voice-over engagements.
1.3 Existing Representation & Restriction on Submission
You must not submit to, audition for, accept, or participate in any project circulated by Dabb if you are currently represented under any exclusive agreement which covers voice-over work.
For the purposes of these Terms, “voice-over work” includes, without limitation:
-
commercials and advertising;
-
radio;
-
television and film voice-over;
-
animation;
-
dubbing;
-
video games;
-
audiobooks;
-
narration;
-
trailers and promos;
-
corporate recordings;
-
podcasts;
-
audio drama; and
-
any other recorded spoken-word or vocal performance work.
If your existing agent, manager or representative is entitled to represent you in any of the above fields on an exclusive basis, you must not submit through Dabb unless you have first obtained clear written confirmation that your agreement permits you to do so.
If you are represented on a non-exclusive basis for voice-over work, you may submit through Dabb; however, you must ensure that your existing agreement explicitly allows you to undertake work outside of that representation. You are strongly advised to review your agreement carefully before submitting.
1.4 Artist Obligation to Review Existing Agreements
Before submitting any audition, self-tape, recording or other materials through Dabb, you are solely responsible for:
-
carefully reviewing all existing agency, management and representation agreements;
-
ensuring that no clause, exclusivity provision, restriction, notice obligation or commission entitlement prevents you from working through Dabb;
-
confirming that participation in a Dabb-facilitated project will not place you in breach of any existing agreement.
You acknowledge that Dabb is entitled to rely on your submission as confirmation that you have completed these checks.
1.5 Duty to Seek Clarification
If you are unsure whether your existing representation permits you to submit through Dabb, you must seek clarification directly from your current agent, manager or representative before submitting.
If there is any uncertainty, ambiguity or potential overlap in your existing agreement, you must obtain written confirmation from your current representative that you are permitted to participate in the relevant Dabb project.
You must not submit through Dabb while such uncertainty remains.
1.6 Disclosure Requirement
You must disclose to Dabb in writing, before any submission is made, whether you are represented by:
-
a voice-over agent;
-
a theatrical agent;
-
a commercial agent;
-
a manager; or
-
any other representative whose agreement may cover voice-over work.
You must provide Dabb with sufficient details of the representation to allow Dabb to assess whether a conflict may arise.
Failure to disclose existing representation shall constitute a material breach of these Terms.
1.7 Responsibility for Conflict
Any conflict, dispute, claim, commission demand or breach arising from your failure to:
-
disclose existing representation;
-
review your existing agreements; or
-
obtain clarification from your current representative,
shall be entirely your responsibility.
Dabb shall have no liability whatsoever for any such conflict and reserves the right to:
-
withdraw you from the project;
-
suspend or terminate your eligibility to submit through Dabb; and/or
-
recover from you any losses, costs, claims, legal fees, commissions or damages incurred by Dabb as a result.
Commission & Payment Structure
2.1 Commission Tiers: Commission is calculated on the total gross fees (including studio fees and all usage/buyouts) payable to you:
Standard Projects (17.5%): For all projects sourced, brokered, or initiated by Dabb.
Artist-Led Projects (12.5%): For projects you source independently but request Dabb to act as your representative (to handle negotiations, contracts, and invoicing).
2.2 VAT Clarification: Commissions are calculated on the gross project fee exclusive of VAT. Dabb’s commission will be subject to VAT where applicable by law. You must inform Dabb in writing whether you are VAT registered and provide your VAT number where applicable.
2.3 Scope of Commission: Commission applies to: Initial bookings, extensions, renewals, additional usage, franchise expansions, downloadable content (DLC), sequels, spin-offs or related productions.
2.4 Protection Period: Commission shall also apply to any re-engagement by the same client, associated production entity, or materially connected project within 36 months of the original engagement, where your casting can reasonably be linked to the original introduction or submission made through Dabb.
2.5 Invoicing: Dabb will invoice the client directly for all fees due. Invoices are typically issued on the day of project completion. Our standard client credit terms are 30 days, unless otherwise specified.
2.6 Artist Disbursement: Upon receipt of cleared funds from the client, Dabb shall remit your fee to you within 14 days, minus the applicable commission (plus VAT where applicable).
2.7 Direct Payment: If you receive payment directly from a client for a project introduced or managed through Dabb, you must notify Dabb immediately and remit the applicable commission within 7 days of receipt.
2.8 Commission remains payable even if this Agreement is terminated, provided the engagement arose from a submission or management request made during the period in which these Terms were in effect.
Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure
3.1 All casting materials, scripts, briefs, recordings, client identities and project information are strictly confidential.
3.2 You must not disclose, distribute, reproduce or share such materials outside the casting and production process.
3.3 You agree to sign project-specific NDAs where required.
3.4 Breach of confidentiality may result in immediate removal from projects, termination of eligibility to submit through Dabb, and potential legal action.
Project Engagements
4.1 Each project may be subject to additional project-specific terms.
4.2 These Terms form the foundational agreement governing all engagements facilitated by Dabb.
4.3 Project-specific terms apply only to that project and do not amend these overarching Terms.

By submitting through Dabb, you warrant that:

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dabb Official Limited, its directors, officers and representatives from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, legal fees or expenses arising from: Breach of these Terms; Breach of confidentiality or NDA obligations; Misrepresentation regarding representation status; Breach of any agreement with third parties; or Failure to fulfil booking obligations; except where such loss arises directly from Dabb’s negligence or wilful misconduct.
Limitation of Liability
7.1 Dabb shall not be liable for: Client cancellation; Non-payment or delayed payment by clients; Casting decisions; Loss of opportunity; Indirect or consequential losses.
7.2 Dabb’s total liability shall not exceed the commission earned by Dabb in respect of the relevant project.
Termination
8.1 Dabb may suspend or terminate your eligibility to submit through us at any time at our sole discretion. 8.2 Ongoing confirmed engagements will be honoured. 8.3 Termination does not affect: Commission owed on engagements arising from submissions made prior to termination; or Commission on re-engagements covered under the 36-month protection period.
Agreement by Conduct
9.1 Submission of any audition, recording or materials to a project circulated by Dabb constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
9.2 By submitting, you expressly confirm you are not prevented from doing so by any existing representation agreement (voice-over, theatrical, commercial or management) and have obtained any necessary consent.
Data Protection
10.1 Dabb will process your personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.
10.2 Your data will be shared with clients solely for casting and engagement purposes.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, illness, government restrictions, industrial disputes, or technical failures.
Entire Agreement & Variation
12.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Dabb Official Limited regarding voice-over submissions.
12.2 Any variation must be made in writing.
12.3 If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
